Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners: A 4 Week Introductory Series

A 4 Week Introductory Series with Syra Smith and Nina Gold

Four Tuesday Evenings - Jan 11, 18, 25 and Feb 1

6:00-7:30 PST (meeting on zoom)

This class will offer meditation instruction and mindfulness practice based on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness in Buddhism. Namely - the body, feelings, mental states and the teachings of the Buddha as applied in everyday conditions.

Each session will include guided meditation instructions, talks on these basic foundational teachings and time for group discussion, questions and reflections, as participants put these teachings to practice in daily life.

This class is appropriate for those new to meditation and for those wishing to deepen their practice. People of all cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds, sexual orientation and gender identities are warmly welcome.

Teacher Dana: Dana is the practice of generosity and in the spirit of this tradition the teachers are supported through your Dana for their time and teachings (they do not receive any portion of the registration fee). Dana can be offered to the teacher through the San Francisco Insight website.
