A Message From the
Midday Dharma Team
Dear Sangha,
After nearly five years of heartfelt connection and shared practice, we have come to the decision to say farewell to our beloved Mid-Day Dharma at SF Insight.
What began during the pandemic as a refuge—a space for mindfulness and connection—has grown into something truly special. Originally stewarded by Syra Smith, Raul Coronado, Eileen Spillane, and Nina Gold, the Mid-Day Dharma Collective has evolved to include the contributions of Felix Tsai and Sarwang Parikh alongside Syra and Nina. Together, we have held this space with care, love, and dedication.
Over the years, our sangha has ebbed and flowed, with new and familiar faces weaving into our collective fabric. While we have a devoted core, the current teaching team has lovingly recognized that the time has come to close this chapter.
We invite you to join us for our final gatherings, which will be held on Monday, January 13, and Monday, January 27 (skipping MLK Day).
Our closing ceremony, a time for practice, sharing, and reflection, will take place on Monday, February 3, with all midday teachers present. We hope to see you there as we honor and celebrate the life of this sangha.
To all who have supported and been supported by this community: thank you.Thank you for your presence, your practice, and your open hearts. This sangha has been a profound gift, and we carry its spirit forward with deep gratitude.
With metta and heartfelt appreciation,
Syra, Nina, Felix, and Sarwang
